How do I take my Living DNA sample?

Step by Step

1. Open the sterile paper envelope to remove the swab.

2. Rub and rotate the swab along the inside of your cheeks for the full 30-45 seconds. Our test collects your cheek cells, rather than saliva (for some extra tips, please see Living DNA's top tips for swabbing successfully at the bottom of this article).

3. Place the swab in the RapiDri pouch and seal with the test ID sticker

4. Put the RapiDri pouch in the postage bag and pop it in the post (don't forget to activate your kit first before sending it- www.livingdna.com/activate)

Please note that we're not able to offer a pre-paid postage envelope for all regions. If you're unsure whether your kit will contain a pre-paid envelope, please reach out to us by email. help@livingdna.com 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR US CUSTOMERS: We use a dedicated kit building facility for our US customers, which means that the label for your swab is slightly different. Your sample collection kit will contain a label with the kit ID (LD0xxxxxxA) and a QR code. 

Please make sure you attach the label to your swab pouch. The picture below will show the label to use.
